Hence, we ensure that the franchiser employs the right teams, the right marketing activities and is able to recruit the right franchisees.

FRANCHISEE OPERATIONS TRAINING:

The fundamental principle of an effective franchise training programmme in place is the optimal use of resources that have been deployed in the form of division of labor, including the correct transfer of the franchisors knowledge to the people involved in the franchise chain. During the training, the franchisees will understand your work culture that is in reality something more difficult than teaching them the actual day-to-day operations. The initial training is aimed to train the franchisees and is conducted before the start of operations, so that to highlight the company philosophy and the brand they represent. Then only, they should go into the actual operations.

The training is conducted at HQ or in specific locations. This is where franchisees can typically go through a classroom and on the field training simultaneously, starting the day with the instructions in the class. Then, in the afternoon or in the evening you can provide the training for field tasks.

The next day, you can start the training with the review of the previous days learning’s and gradually move to the job part. The franchisees take the complete responsibilities of management whereas the trainers gradually assume the role of a coach from thereon.

Franchise Training Programs:

Training is also an expensive activity and make sure, it should be done with complete preparation. Therefore, being supported by the latest technological advancements that offer a lot of features and can be able to save precious time and cost. Generally, the preparations are after following  the operations manuals, working at the units, studying the company’s site and CD’s provided by it. Later on, you have to pass a preliminary test before attending a regular training programme.

It makes sure the pre-training knowledge is imparted to the franchisees and will save a lot of time during the regular programme.

It’s job of the franchisor to make sure that the franchisee completes the training properly and making the person prepared to run a unit. If there is need for additional training to few participants, then they must be given the same. Our experience tells that it’s better to get the franchisee educated that they might not be able to operate if they don’t meet the training pass criterion. Otherwise, it will be better to terminate their agreements rather than risking the franchise allocations and hampering the business. Actually, that is the precise reason for which the franchise selection process should shortlist such participants at the initial stage itself.

Afterwards, the additional training programmes would be conducted probably once and in some cases it is held twice a year to refresh the franchisees if required. Then, they’re given info on all the latest developments. There are cases where some franchisees need additional manager training, involving continuous on-site training provided by the franchisor at regular intervals.
